Walmart Visitor Center renovated and expanded

The Walmart Visitor’s Center is housed in Sam Walton’s original variety store in Bentonville, Arkansas, home of Walmart Corporation. Designed by Ralph Appelbaum Associates, the 6,000 square-foot exhibit gallery contains artifacts and memorabilia which tell the iconic story of Sam Walton and the rise of Walmart as one of the preeminent retailers in the world. Visitors are encouraged to learn about the Walmart culture through electronic and mechanical interactive exhibits. A recreated 5&10 allows visitors to step back in time and shop for retro products much like those originally sold. maltbie, a kubik company, was a member of the design-build team and provided pre-construction consultation, fabrication and installation services.
