Focus on the Gallery: Children’s Gallery, Royal Alberta Museum

kubik was fundamental in the creation of 5 of the 7 galleries in the new Royal Alberta Museum. Each gallery holds unique notable features and required its own specialized approach.

Designed by Lee H. Skolnick Architecture + Design Partnership with kids eight years old and younger, the Children’s Space offers kids 7,000 square feet of hands-on learning space and is home to all kinds of fun activities, including an interactive dig pit and a theatre. Children can engage in free play, self-discovery, and authentic exploration with real objects, tools, and materials. kubik provided design/build services for the gallery including the Dinosaur Dig Pit and mounting a full-size car suspended on the wall.
