Amsterdam, September 2015 – Based on the extensive experience of kubik at previous editions of the Americas Cup and the Volvo Ocean Race, the Swedish company Sail Racing International has chosen the kubik team to realize mobile concept stores at the America’s Cup World Series events around the world in 2015 and 2016. The merchandise store will also be used at the America’s Cup race village in Bermuda, the home of the 2017 America’s Cup finals.
Sail Racing International has been appointed as official clothing partner of the America’s Cup and ORACLE TEAM USA, defender of the prestigious America’s Cup trophy. Sail Racing will provide technical and shore gear for the America’s Cup and ORACLE TEAM USA along with official merchandise collections for each America’s Cup World Series Events.
kubik has developed for Sail Racing a movable merchandise store based on our proven-technology event retail concepts: refurbished container units turned into highly flexible stores and hospitality settings. Three 40′ containers are connected and fully equipped to operate as a high-end concept store. On top of the containers a roof bar is created for parties and sponsor meetings.
The pop-up store made its debut at the first two America’s Cup World series events in Europe and will be erected in Bermuda in October 2015. For 2016, six World Series events are planned across the globe after which the store will be erected for the 2017 finals in Bermuda again.
