The Birthplace of Silicon Valley.
When HP chose to reimagine its historic Palo Alto headquarters—the very birthplace of Silicon Valley—they turned to Kubik to bring their Customer Welcome Center to life. Just steps away from the original boardroom and preserved offices of Bill Hewlett and David Packard, this project was about more than just modernizing a space. It was about creating a seamless connection between HP’s storied past and its bold, future-focused vision.
A Space Designed to Tell HP’s Story—Past, Present, and Future.
Kubik worked alongside a team of architects, technology integrators and facilities personnel as we navigated strict historical preservation guidelines to create a light-filled, modern environment that would speak to HP’s culture of innovation and leadership. Every zone was purpose-built to showcase the brand’s future vision and evolving portfolio:
- Solutions Theater – The heart of the Welcome Center. This immersive space features a sweeping 270-degree wraparound video wall, offering dynamic storytelling, product showcases, and live presentations to large visitor groups.
- Future of Printing – A display area focused on HP’s cutting-edge innovations in digital and industrial printing.
- Reimagined Home Office + Entertainment – A lifestyle-driven zone that showcased how HP technology enhances life at home, from remote work to streaming and creativity.
- Rapid Manufacturing + 3D Tech – An interactive experience highlighting HP’s latest advancements in 3D scanning and additive manufacturing.
All of this was anchored in a crisp, elegant design featuring sculptural white finishes, oversized ring pendant lights, and custom media surfaces.
What We Delivered.
Kubik played a key role in design development, refining conceptual ideas into engineered plans that met both HP’s creative vision and the building’s preservation requirements. We handled all fabrication, including custom architectural elements and interactive exhibit components. From there, we led technology integration—ensuring AV, lighting, and interactive systems performed flawlessly—and completed the full installation with precision.
