We Tunneled Into a Trade Show with Mimaki

Flipping the Script.

Mimaki came to FESPA with one goal: flip the script on the industrial print experience. Most booths at large-format print shows are heavy on machines and light on story. So, for the brand that’s built its name on bold color and limitless potential, we created something that felt as expressive as the work its printers help produce.

Turning Industrial into Immersive.

Kubik designed an immersive gallery tunnel that cut through the booth like a portal — drawing guests into a world built entirely with Mimaki technology. From textiles and 3D objects to rigid substrates and paper, nearly every surface featured stunning work made by real Mimaki customers. As visitors stepped into the exhibit, they weren’t just seeing print machines — they were stepping into what those machines make possible.

Partnering with Dutch artist Rik Lina for visual styling, the space wrapped around guests with bold colors, sweeping lines, and suspended samples. It was part art installation, part brand manifesto, and fully immersive from every angle. The layout allowed Mimaki to feature working equipment while letting the product shine first, pulling in curious creatives and serious buyers alike.

Beyond the spectacle, the strategy delivered. The customer gallery helped foster community, highlight partner success stories, and spark collaboration for future campaigns. Even better… the modular exhibit was built to evolve, with fresh work and refreshed storytelling ready to roll out show after show.

Evolution of Creativity.

This wasn’t our first creative leap with Mimaki at FESPA. In 2022, we helped bring the brand back to the show floor in full color after a long global pause — with a bold rainbow tunnel of arches that turned heads and set the tone for what would come next.
