What do an abandoned slaughterhouse, an old tanker ship and an unfinished subway station all have in common? They were all settings for Nike’s high-energy public soccer event, Nike Parks. If those raw, industrial settings weren’t enough, the use of chain-link fences, oil drums, rusted metal walls and super-graphics of the world’s best soccer players helped further set the raw, rough, street-savvy mood.
An international success
kubik worked on five continents and in 10 different languages in order to provide a total Nike-branded environment and play host to thousands of young soccer fans. Nike brought a fantastic advertising campaign into the streets and reinforced the connection between their brand, their market and the beautiful game of soccer.
