PUMA, the multinational German clothing and footwear manufacturer, has been involved with the Volvo Ocean Race as the official clothing supplier since 2008. Being so closely associated with such a spectacular sporting event means delivering an outstanding brand experience. The challenge for PUMA and kubik was developing a concept that would allow PUMA to sell a wide range of products in an environment that could survive the rigours of round-the-world travel, in any weather.
A Race Around the World
Using four 40-foot shipping containers, kubik created a modern and dynamic mobile merchandising store. Because the containers functioned as both a shopping environment and transportation vessel, they had to be durable as well as feature attention-grabbing branding. This unique retail experience from PUMA traveled with the Volvo Ocean Race to Alicante, Spain and Boston, United States.
