This week, we interviewed Rosa for the second chapter in our Storyteller Series. Keep reading to learn more about her and her role at kubik.
STORYTELLER SERIES
Rosa D’Onorio | Account Manager
Rosa came to kubik about three years ago and has since been working primarily on the Samsung team in the digital appliance division as an Account Manager. In this role, Rosa focuses on the execution of vendor displays and kitchen vignettes to effectively promote Samsung’s latest appliance launches. She works with the design team, providing the specifications of display spaces and new SKUs as well as any branding guidelines. As such, she’s an amiable and indispensable interface between the various teams and the client.
What educational and professional experience did you have prior to kubik?
Rosa: After going to Humber College for Business Marketing I began working in marketing roles at various other companies. I mainly operated in client-facing roles where I would work on events for these companies, so my background was mostly in events and supporting clients.
How has your career grown since starting at kubik?
Rosa: Things have definitely changed since I first started because the digital appliance division is always adapting to the new appliance tech. The technology has gotten more digital since I first started, and I’ve grown to understand more about the products. Some new appliances and lineups that require unique installation techniques, so learning and researching how these things are set up is interesting because it can change on a day-to-day basis. The clients are always keeping us on our toes too. They have new appliances on the go constantly so it’s nice to work as a team with them and learn from each other.
What led you to join the kubik team?
Rosa: It was actually a referral, to be honest. My friend was working at kubik and she had told me how great it was to work here and how great the people were so I thought I’d give it a try. I love it, I’m happy I’m here. The Samsung team is great, and we always support each other, it definitely helps when you have a good team.
What has been your favourite project to work on while at kubik?
Rosa: I’m not sure if I can pick a favourite project, but the Imperial Tobacco account was a nice change of pace when COVID started. We started going in and installing the backwalls and displays for the different vendors, doing audits of the space and installations while navigating the different regulations that come with the tobacco industry, which was new and interesting for me.
What does the kubik team do for fun?
Rosa: We’re a tight team so we like to take our breaks and lunches together. kubik as a whole also has its Christmas parties and other events like that. On the Samsung team though, we’re always going for walks to Starbucks and even when some of us are working from home we’re always talking so we still feel connected which is great. It’s a good little team. All the Samsung divisions work together so we’re always bouncing ideas off each other and that helps everyone out.
