Inspiring Encounters
The world’s first national museum dedicated to the evolution, celebration, and future of human rights, the museum is a national and international destination. As an “idea” museum, it begins with a concept, not a collection – a center of learning where Canadians and people from around the world can engage in discussion and commit to taking action against hate and oppression. Ground breaking approaches use multimedia, digital interaction, build exhibits, images, film, art and performance to encourage reflection and dialogue connecting visitors to human rights.
kubik maltbie, along with its partner ClickNetherfield, was tasked with completing the interior exhibit show cases and displays for the permanent gallery.
Creating Meaningful, Lasting Change
Housed in 11 fully accessible themed galleries containing diverse stories from Canada and around the world; the unforgettable visual and sensory experiences are relayed through interactive presentation, multimedia technology and world-class design. From the massive stone roots entrance, to the light-filled Tower of Hope, visitors are provided the inspiration and tools to make a difference in the lives of others. Exhibitry, artifact cases, theatre, scenic pieces, graphics, and interactive stations reveal historic importance of gallery themes and peoples stories. kubik maltbie was responsible for the project management, fabrication and installation of exhibits and hardware.
